Eminox is a privately-owned company, established in 1978, with our head office and manufacturing facilities in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, UK. We design and manufacture high performance stainless steel exhausts and emission control systems for vehicles with heavy duty diesel engines.
Our products have a reputation for engineering excellence, designed and manufactured to the highest standards so they perform reliably in the real-world. We supply to bus, truck, rail, and off-highway vehicle manufacturers around the world as well as being the major European supplier of emission control exhaust systems for retrofit to vehicles already in service. The Eminox CRT® system is the market leading solution for reducing diesel exhaust particulate matter with almost 40,000 systems installed on trucks and buses throughout Europe.
The advanced research and development necessary for the design of today’s exhaust and emission control systems is undertaken in Gainsborough and at our Gothenburg Technical Centre, Sweden, which we share with our sister company Swenox.
We also have a long-standing partnership with Johnson Matthey, one of the world’s leading chemical and catalyst technology companies and work closely together in the development of new products and technologies. We are actively involved in the development of the next generation exhaust systems incorporating emission control technologies such as CRT® and SCRT®, enabling vehicles to meet Euro 4 and 5 emissions standards. We are currently undertaking work aimed at meeting the forthcoming Euro 6 standard.
Our manufacturing capability is tuned for low to medium volume requirements, where flexibility, responsiveness and quick turn-around are extremely important. We have made significant investments in advanced cell manufacturing capability, with rigorous adherence to 6-sigma methodologies focussed on zero-defects and cost efficient manufacturing. High volume manufacturing is undertaken by our sister company Swenox.
